Eire 2 earth: choosing a future

Enabling the citizen to defeat authoritarianism

First 9/11 … then Russia’s ongoing invasion of sovereign Ukrainian territories. Now Hamas disregards both the life of Israeli people and what it would nominally judge to be its “own”: but who so carefully uses their “own” as human shields against those who are placed in a position where they must, inevitably, respond?

Here’s an essay I wrote recently, in response to Hamas’s brutality on all the people in the area. It’s still Version 1: the first I wrote without redrafting. I’m working on a Version 2, as I produce this website. Because it needs, I realise, more thinking-time. It deserves more thinking-time.

What is this webspace and business project about, then?

First, its name reflects that of the third project in the series that I propose we in the end formally constitute, but the first one I actually created with this structure: sverige2.earth.

EIRE2.earth is about “CHOOSING a future”. Most big tech has taught us to believe change is inevitable — ie, its change — whilst neglecting to underline that the nature of change, especially IT and tech change, is usually a choice.

I’d like to bring the second half of the equation back into play, in all the four main areas described. Sometimes they overlap, it’s true; and sometimes they need to because they are regionally constituted.

But they will always have this common thread: change is inevitable, yes; but its nature rarely is …

Here are the four projects: each with its own logo.

Want to be more in your future?

We have to accept that we can’t just be in favour of peace: we have to learn to “go to peace”. Just as we already know how to “go to war” all too well.

Fight fire with humans, first

Humans are creatively criminal but our tech isn’t. Yet we choose to fight modern terrorism using unimaginative technologies.

Let’s change the chip: maybe even literally!

Empower and enable citizens to want to fight back in their homelands

Produce and deliver new kinds of democracy-promoting tech, so no one wants to leave their place of birth — and everyone is able to fight authoritarianism before it gets the upper hand.

Some basic concepts we’re now working with

Find out more about what we mean when we talk about privacy sensitive, privacy positive, secrecy sensitive, and secrecy positive thinking-spaces and architectures in software, wearables and hardware such as chip manufacture.

More on complexify.me: neuro-diverse complex problems-solutioning tools

Find out more about what we mean when we say startup ecosystems have failed us in the big problems for too long: it’s just the big ones that are left, to be honest.

Big ones like Ukraine, Hamas, climate change … and societies which overfeed the wealthy at the expense of the underfed and under-heated poor.

Bigger ideas than the above, too …

How about a distributed privilege where your wealth doesn’t imply my poverty?

When binary isn’t where society is at any more?
